Each gemsomnia phone case is assembled by hand using a rotating collection of vintage charms, miniature sculptures, glass and porcelain fragments, cabochons, beads, and other small curiosities.

Each case becomes a small composition, somewhere between jewelry, collage, and miniature sculpture.

The darker base creates a contrast that allows color, texture, and tiny objects to stand out.

Each case reflects the objects currently passing through the studio, so no two are exactly the same.

Design Process

After purchase I will reach out via email or Instagram DM to begin the design process.

You are welcome to share Pinterest boards, references, themes, or general direction. Visual inspiration is especially helpful.

A proposed layout is created using pieces from the current studio collection and shared for feedback. The design is only finalized once the layout is approved.

Most designs are created using materials already in the studio. Occasionally, additional objects may be sourced if a concept calls for something specific. If a design requires particularly rare or specific pieces, additional sourcing can be discussed.

Timeline

Because each case is handmade and collaborative, production typically takes 2 to 4 weeks.

If additional materials are sourced, the process may take up to 6 weeks depending on shipping timelines. Updates are shared throughout.

Finished cases ship with expedited shipping.

Materials & Care

Cases may include cabochons, glass and porcelain fragments, miniature sculptures, beads, charms, and other found pieces.

Each case is sealed for durability while maintaining its dimensional texture. Clean gently with a damp cloth and handle with care.

Each gemsomnia case is one of a kind. Small variations and imperfections are part of the handmade process and character of the piece.

These cases have a dimensional, raised surface made up of small objects and layered materials. The texture is part of the piece and gives each one its character.

With use, the surface may show signs of wear over time.

All sales are final, though I am happy to assist with repairs if needed.
